Animal Architects: Design a Pet Paradise!

Calling all visionary designers and animal lovers! We are opening the doors to our premier design studio to create the ultimate Pet Paradise. Using recycled materials and craft supplies, campers will take the lead as Head Architects to build a luxury miniature resort. Will your hotel feature a rooftop Pet Café and a tranquil Zen Garden? Or perhaps an action-packed Sports Stadium, Playground, or Waterpark with shimmering slides? From High-Fashion Salons to Wellness Centers, the choice is yours. Campers will master the art of "upcycling," transforming everyday materials into a posh, multi-room destination that is truly the cat's meow!

Breakfast Buddies

Does your kiddo love breakfast food? Get ready to flip pancakes, sizzle an omelet, press waffles, mix a smoothie, and more! This is the camp where kids will mix and make, cook and create. Then have a seat to devour their treat! Campers will learn how to hold a knife, always cut away from oneself, and why a sharp knife is safer than a dull one. They will also learn to select the best cooking utensil for the task to help them cook more efficiently. Campers will learn how to safely use a mixer, griddle, electric kettle, crock-pot, and other cooking tools. Each morning, campers will cook a variety of breakfast foods and then enjoy eating them together. We will discuss (and try) “tweaks” we could make to recipes and experiment with different cooking techniques.

Intro to Mountain Biking

Welcome to the wonderful world of Mountain Biking! At "Intro to Mountain Biking" your child will get lessons on bike controls adjustments, balancing techniques, how to maneuver over and/or around obstacles, and learn how cycling is a healthy and fun activity that can be fulfilling for life! Of course we will have loads of fun! At the beginning of the week we will do some basic riding around the Woods parking lot with cones and small obstacles to gauge their skill level. As the days go on we will advance to the “back 40” field to do some off-road riding along with advanced body positioning and braking/accelerating drills. We will then move to some smooth single track trails on and around the Woods property. On the last day of the camp we will hold a “fun race” for the kids to execute the skills they have learned during the week. All participants will need to have a functioning bicycle, helmet, proper shoes (closed toes, no crocs), a healthy snack, and water. The camp is designed to be geared towards a novice-intermediate bicycle rider. Participants must be able to ride on their own without training wheels or other assistance.
