Denise O'Gorman Woods Charter School ( map and directions) Mon - Fri, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM 07/13/26 (1 week)
Dig Into Soil Science! Get ready to dig deep and uncover the amazing world beneath our feet! This hands-on camp explores soil as a living, life-supporting system essential to our planet. Campers will:
- Explore what soil is made of and how it supports ecosystems
- Test soil for texture, moisture, and nutrients
- Plant and grow their own plants
- Take on a Soil Erosion Challenge to learn how soil is protected and conserved
- Get creative by making bricks from natural materials
- Possibly head out on an exciting field trip to study rocks—the “parent material” of soil—and see geology in action!
This isn’t just a messy adventure—it’s a journey into science, farming, ecosystems, and even construction. So grab your shovels and join us for a dirty, hands-on camp that’s guaranteed to cultivate curiosity and fun!
