07/13/26 (1 week)

Campers will learn to sew by  making  fashionable, fun, colorful and usable tote bags, which are all the rage these days!   They will be introduced to the wonderful world of  sewing (including straight stitching and zigzag stitching), and other sewing basics. On the first day of camp, they will take a field trip to a local fabric store for a fun and informative field trip, during which they will have a tour of the store and learn about how to choose fabric, what a pattern is, and what notions are.  They will then choose their fabric for their tote bag, They will learn some sewing language and learn to make something useful for themselves or to give as a gift. If there is enough time they will also make a pouch bag with handles. The last day, campers will proudly have a show during which parents will see the campers' fabric creations!
