Kindergarten Readiness Camp

Kindergarten Readiness Camp provides a nurturing and structured environment for children to learn through play. Although students will be exposed to several academic skills through music, games and creative and organized play, the main focus of this camp is to prepare them with social tools and strategies. Communication and self-discipline are crucial pieces for a child's academic success.  Importantly, this camp will allow upcoming kindergarteners the opportunity to learn what it will be like to be a new student in a big school. We will provide fun activities while also learning some essentials to being in school. For example: how to line up, how to sit quietly and listen as well as some reading and math readiness. The enviroment will be very hands on and full of movement.

Campers will receive their own classroom supplies, cubby and work area. At the conclusion of camp, parents will have the opportunity to meet with camp instructors to discuss any areas of concern. Activities and suggestions for each child will be given to parents throughout the week to help campers work on readiness skills.
